Mary Lee Carlisle, 95, of Waverly Hall, GA died Friday, September 16, 2011 in Kingwood, TX.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M. Friday, September 23, 2011 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Roger Johnson officiating. Interment will be held Friday afternoon at 2:30 P.M. at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta, GA. The family will receive friends Friday morning from 9:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. at the funeral home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mary Lee Carlisle was born December 21, 1915 in Doyle, TN the only child of Mary and Orbry Brown. Mary Lee moved to the Atlanta, GA area at the age of seven and was educated in the Atlanta area schools. She was married to Emmett Carlisle from March 1941 until his death in 2005. She was a stay-at-home mother until returning to work as a secretary. After retirement, she and her late husband moved to Waverly Hall, GA where she spent many happy years. She loved her retirement years and spent time making great memories with her grandchildren.
Mrs. Carlisle is survived by her daughter, Judy Little and husband, Bob, of Kingwood, TX, her son, Michael Carlisle and his wife, Kay, of Portland, OR, five grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
