Mary Louise Reece Braswell, 85, of Midland, GA died Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at her home.
A memorial service will be held at a later date according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Braswell was born August 13, 1931 in Waycross, GA, daughter of the late John Riley Reece and Cora Gean Slater Reece.
She graduated from Douglas High School and the Henry W. Grady School of Journalism and Mass Communications at the University of Georgia. She worked for McClure Broadcasting at WGBA in Columbus and in the Public Information Office at Fort Benning, and later worked as the Chief Administrator for admissions and dispositions at Martin Army Hospital. She was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church in Columbus.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, John W. Braswell of Midland, GA; a son, Brian Braswell, (Lori) of Augusta, GA, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Music Ministry at St. Luke UMC.
