Mary Ann Brandenburg, 74, of Fortson, GA, died on Friday, October 30, 2015 at St Francis Hospital in Columbus, GA.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, November 2, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Christ the King Catholic Church, 60700 GA Hwy 354 Pine Mountain, GA 31822 with Father John R. Madden officiating. Private interment will follow at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday 6:30 to 8:00 PM, with the Rosary beginning at 6:00 PM at McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Brandenburg was born on January 19, 1941 in Tuscumbia, AL to John and Ann Olive. She attended Baker High school and graduated from Frankfurt American High School in Germany in 1959. While in Germany, she met her husband, Ted. Upon returning to the United States, they married in Fort Campbell, KY on May 27, 1961 and then moved to Cleveland, OH. Mr. and Mrs. Brandenburg moved to Columbus, GA in 1969. Mrs. Brandenburg worked for ACE Hardware on Floyd Road, Columbus Chamber of Commerce and retired from TSYS in 2004 after 15 years.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, John Olive, Jr.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Ted, two sons, Ted Brandenburg , Jr. (Crystal) of Garden City, KS and Todd Brandenburg (Laura) of Fortson, GA, granddaughter Sara Lawman (Andrew) of Temecula, CA, grandson, Cory Brandenburg (Kacey) of Garden City, KS, two great grandsons Aiden and Connor Lawman, and a brother, Bob Olive (Jackie) of Florence, AL.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Christ the King building fund.
