Mary Nell Allen, 83, of Columbus, GA died Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at St. Francis Hospital.
Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM, Friday November 1, 2013 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, Ga 31097 with Mr.Roger Johnson officiating. A private interment will be held at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM at McMullen Funeral Home.
Mrs. Allen was born September 20, 1930, in Lagrange, GA, daughter of the late Albert J. Treadwell and Felicia Whitten Treadwell. She retired as a seamstress from Tuff Tex and was a volunteer at the Columbus Police Department.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Melvin L. Allen, Sr.
Survivors include sons; Melvin L. Allen, Jr. (Judy) of Columbus, GA, and and Bruce Allen of Columbus, GA, grandchildren; Courtney McCutcheon and Justin McCutcheon both of Columbus, GA, and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to all caregivers at Muscogee Manor.
