Marvin L. Tomblin, 72, of Columbus, GA passed away Saturday, February 3, 2024 at his residence.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM, Tuesday, February 6, 2024 in the chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory with Chaplain Daniel Mitchell officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Marvin was born in Columbus, Georgia to John Henry Tomblin and Merle Breedlove Tomblin.
Marvin served in the Air Force Reserves and retired from Georgia Power Company.
He enjoyed being outdoors and the challenge of crossword puzzles.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Philip Tomblin, and brother-in-law, Paul Lane, daughter, Julie Marie Tomblin and step-son, Jeremy R.C. Sewell.
He leaves behind, his wife, Cynthia Carden Tomblin; daughters, Leigh Anne (Robb) Fink of Alpharetta, GA; Meredith Tomblin of Columbus, GA, Kelsey Tomblin of Athens, GA; step-daughters, Amber Camp (Ashley Woitena) Columbus, Ga; Shamri Sewell of Columbus, GA, sister, Molly Lane of Ellerslie, GA; brother, Ben (Sally) Tomblin of Tallahassee, FL, grandchildren, Matthew, Ryan and Katie Fink and step-grandson, Nolan Camp.
