Martha Anne Smith

Martha Anne Smith, 87, of Columbus Georgia died Saturday, February 6, 2021 at St. Francis Hospital.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at Parkhill Cemetery with Rev. Paul Thomas and Rev. Bud Rupel officiating. according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus GA 31907. In keeping with the efforts to stop the spread of COVID- 19 facemasks and social distancing will be required during the graveside service.

Martha was born October 20, 1933 in Vada Georgia, daughter of the late Isaac Pollock and Maggie Mae Portivent Pollock. She retired from F.W. Woolworth’s as a bookkeeper later working at St. Francis Hospital in the admissions office where she still volunteered her time.. She was a member of Evangel Temple, loved playing the piano and singing. Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Richard U. Smith and her siblings, Shelby Munn and Rev. Gaston Pollock.

Survivors include her daughter, Lisa Turner (Gary DeWayne) of Columbus GA, son, Ricky Smith (Lisa) of Columbus, GA sister, Elaine Daffron of Warner Robins, GA, three grand children, Madison Holt of Phenix City, AL, Kayla Smith Turner (Abbott) of Midland, GA, Austin Kyle Smith (Ashley) of Columbus GA. four great grandchildren, Avery Johnson, Ally Herring, Annalisa Turner, Abbott Turner IV, sister-in-law Annette Pollock numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
