Martha Dean "Deanie" Schumacher, 72, of Columbus, GA died Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Midtown Medical Center.
A memorial service will be held 4:00 PM Friday, September 29, 2017 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Rev. Ronnie Knight officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Schumacher was born April 22, 1945 in Eufaula, AL daughter of the late Marlin Allen and Lillie Mae Bell Allen. She worked for the U.S. Air Force and was a Mental Health Technician.
Mrs. Schumacher always put others first and was very generous. She also loved her husband and her family deeply expressing unconditional love.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Alvin Schumacher.
Survivors include her children, Tammy Lynn Hendricks (Wesley) of Colorado Springs, CO, Jimmy "Jimbo" Brittingham (fiancé, Sharon Storey) of Columbus, GA and Terrie Schumacher of Columbus, GA, sisters, Nancy, Doodle and Iris, 6 grandchildren, Tiffany Nichole, Brandon, Crystal Jade, Warren, Laney and Dylan, 11 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Flowers will be accepted but those so desiring may make memorial donations to the Alzheimer's Association 5156 River Rd. Suite M Columbus, GA 31904.
