Martha Louise Ryan Sawyer
April 9, 1949 — September 28, 2013
Martha Louise Ryan Sawyer, 64, died Saturday, September 28, 2013 at Columbus Hospice House. After 18 months of pain and suffering was called home by her Heavenly Father. He stated well done faithful servant, thank you for helping as you have always done.
The family will receive friends Thursday, October 3, 2013 from 2:00-4:00 PM at McMullen Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Sawyer was born April 9, 1949, daughter of the late Hubert Michael Ryan and Marjorie Louise Wyatt Ryan. She was the Causality Assistance Officer for the U.S. Government. She assisted families through their own times of sorrow for 30 years before she retired. Loved by everyone and is going to be missed by all.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Donald Sawyer and her brother John Ryan.
Survivors include daughters; Tonya Eastman (Thomas) of Waverly Hall, GA and Tiffany Daggett (David) of Iwakuni, Japan, brother; Hank Ryan of North Dakota, 2 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Special thanks to Columbus Hospice House and Gentiva Hospice for helping our mother. Mom was surrounded by love at the end by family and her private sitter and friend Edna (Sissy) Davis. "Thank You" for loving our mother.
