Martha Annette Mckinnon

Martha Annette McKinnon, 73, of Columbus, GA, passed away on November 13, 2022, at Piedmont Columbus Regional Midtown.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, November 20, 2022, in the chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory with Thomas Vowell officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.

Annette McKinnon was born on August 10, 1949, in Columbus, GA to the late Needom and Mary Emma Harrell. She worked in the Claims Department at Aflac for 30 years before retiring. She then spent several years working with children at St. Luke United Methodist Church and Pierce Chapel United Methodist Church. She enjoyed being outside, whether she was by the ocean, working in her flower beds, or raking leaves. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, reading novels, and eating lunch with her best friends from Aflac. Annette would light up every room she walked in with her contagious smile and heart-warming personality. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Susan “Dee Dee” McJunkin and her infant son.

She is survived by her husband of 24 years, Jesse E. McKinnon of Columbus, GA; daughter, Tiffiany Paige Elliott (Daron) of Hamilton, GA; stepson, Jesse Garrett McKinnon, of Columbus, GA; stepdaughter, Brandi Argueta, of Columbus, GA; nephew, James Michael Wilbourn of Columbus, GA; and grandchildren, Chandler and Emma Elliott; Hunter McKinnon; Rose and Violet Argueta.
