Martha A Irvin

Martha A. Irvin, 71, of Salem, Alabama died Sunday, April 11, 2021 at her residence.

A Graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 14, 2021at Parkhill Cemetery with Rev. Ken Dawson officiating according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. In keeping with the efforts to stop the spread of COVID-19 facemasks and social distancing will be required during the service.

Martha was born October 30, 1949 to the late Roy Denton and Martha Jackson Oakes. She worked in the Trust Division at Synovus, Lowes, and helped partner her son’s business. She loved to cook, plant flowers in the garden, animals and her family, especially her grandchildren.  Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her daughter Brandy Denise Irvin and her sister Debbie Williford.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Terry Irvin of Salem, AL, son, Shane Irvin (Wendy) of Fortson, GA, sisters, Katheen Purvis (Kenny) of Lee County, AL, Joyce Oakes of Phenix City, AL, grandchildren, Brittany, Donovan and Harrison Irvin, numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and her dog, Jasper.
