Martha Ann Whitaker Elizondo, of Columbus, GA and beloved wife of the late Manuel F. Elizondo, passed away at Spring Harbor of Green Island Hills in Columbus on March, 20, 2022. She was 90 years old.
Funeral services will be held 2:00PM March 25, 2022, with the Rev. Greg Harrison officiating at Memorial Park Cemetery in Auburn, AL, according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Born in Opelika, Alabama on January 20, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Inez Bankston Whitaker and Wilson Bradley Whitaker, Sr.
Martha was a member of Wynnton United Methodist Church. She grew up in Opelika and attended Auburn University.
Martha is survived by a son, Michael Elizondo and daughter-in-law, Margaret of Boston, MA; three grandchildren, Maxwell Lee Elizondo of New York City, NY, Mason Banks Elizondo and Eve Quinn Elizondo of Boston, MA, a sister-in-law, Joy F. Whitaker of Columbus, a sister-in law, Margarita Adams and husband Roy E. of Birmingham, AL, a niece, Carol Whitaker Molski and husband Doug, a nephew Wilson Bradley Whitaker, III and wife Toika, and nephews Philip, Matt and Andy Adams. She was predeceased by her brother, Wilson Bradley Whitaker, Jr. and brother-in-law Pete Elizondo and his wife Rosemary.
Martha was well cared for by the staff at Spring Harbor and her friend, Renee Bone.
