Mark Coleman Hefner, 64, of Columbus, GA died Thursday, June 18, 2020 at his residence in Columbus, GA.
The family will receive family and close friends on Thursday, June 25, 2020 from 5:00-7:00PM at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. In keeping with the efforts to stop the spread of COVID-19 social distancing will be in effect.
Mark Coleman Hefner was born Oct. 27, 1955, in Amarillo, Texas, son of Ted C. Hefner and Barbara A. Whitten. Mark was a retired RN after 32 years of devoting his life to helping others. He worked at Doctor's Hospital, Medical Center, and St. Francis in the operating room. Mark loved to help and be needed. His main love and legacy was his daughters Katherine E. Hefner, 28, and Rachel A. Hefner, 25. Mark was also survived by his brother, Tim Hefner; sister, Cindy Martin (and her husband, Mike); niece, Ella Weaver; nephew, Matthew Hefner and family. He loved to laugh and he would want us to celebrate his life with laughter not tears.
