Mark William Cushing, Jr., 32, of Columbus, GA , went HOME peacefully Friday, January 30, 2015.
Memorial Services will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Gentian Baptist Church, 3853 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Rev. Rick Harden officiating. The family will receive friends at the church following the services according to McMullen Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mark was born May 12, 1982 in Columbus, GA, son of Mark W. Cushing, Sr and Juawana Pinson Cushing. He was a driver for MCA Transportation. He graduated from Kendrick High School in 2000 where he was a member of the Men's Quartet. He also earned his Eagle Scout rank that year. Mark loved to play pool and was an avid gamer as well.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William J. and Lieselotte Cushing, and Ross and Marguerite Pinson, and an uncle, James Pinson.
Survivors include his father, Mark W. Cushing, Sr. (Pennie); mother, Juawana Cushing; sisters, Sheree Cushing and Gail Cushing; step sisters, Allison Sellers of Pullman, WA, and Beth Parker of Baker City, OR; aunts, Iris Ellis (Wardell) and Jeralyn Wellens (Darryl); uncles, John Pinson (Oneda) and LeRoy Cushing (Dee); niece, Hayla Cushing; and many cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Columbus Hospice House, 7020 Moon Road Columbus, GA 31909.
