Mark Burleson

Mark Burleson, 43 of Hamilton, GA died on October 27, 2022 at Columbus Hospice House.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00PM Thursday, November 3, 2022, in the chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Daryl Price and Thomas Vowell officiating. The family will receive friends following the service from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.

Mark Burleson was born December 14, 1978, in St. Petersburg, FL. son to Judy Jamerson Burleson and the late Wyndell Mark Burleson Sr. He worked as a Machinist for Perfect Patterns South for 23 years. Mark proudly served as the president and youngest member of the BS Club at the BR&R in Ellerslie, GA, he was also a member of the Valley Dove Club. Mark enjoyed the outdoors whether it was hunting, shooting, or fishing with his son Mason, friends, or family. He enjoyed volunteering with the Harris County Little League teams to guide and mentor the youth.

Mark impacted those around him through these guiding principles; Speak your mind, be witty, be kind, be courageous, and love without limits. His life was full of laughter, having a strong and often daring sense of humor which allowed him to connect with people through a joy that can only be felt with the warmth of a smile. Whether you spent five minutes or forty-three years in Mark’s presence, one thing for certain is that he would fill the room with laughter and joy.

He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Jessica Coulliette Burleson of Hamilton, GA, son, Mason Lane Burleson of Hamilton, GA, mother, Judy Jamerson Burleson of Waverly Hall, GA, sister, Tiffany Burleson Moore (Kris) of Waverly Hall, GA, nieces, Emily Moore of Waverly Hall, GA, Julia Moore Brown (Christopher) of Columbus, GA, in-laws, Danny and Eve Coulliette of Columbus, GA.
