Marjorie C. Kee, 88, of Columbus, GA died Friday, December 4, 2015 at Columbus Hospice House.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at Beallwood Baptist Church with Reverend Billy Duncan officiating. Interment will follow in Parkhill Cemetery. The following will serve as pall bearers, Jim Kee, Gale Kee, Fred Lewis, Tommy Miles, Jimbo Williams, and Tommy Williams. Honorary pall bearers will be the Deacons at Beallwood Baptist Church. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 10:00 - 11:00 A.M. at the church, according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Kee was born June 17, 1927 in Elba, AL daughter of the late Matthew Collum and Desser Nelson Rushing. She worked at Kemit and was a member of Beallwood Baptist Church.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Lee Kee; and brothers, Edward Collum and Sammy Rushing.
Survivors include her sons, Gerry D. Kee (Kathy) of Columbus, GA and Terry L. Kee (Patricia) of Manassas, VA; grandchildren, Dustin Kee, Bradley S. Kee both of Columbus, GA, Ashley N. Kee of Haymarket, VA, Kirstina K. Colvin (Jeremy) of Alexandria, VA and Melissa K. Reed of Tampa, FL; great grandchildren, Charlotte Colvin, Grayson Colvin and Eloise Colvin all of Alexandria, VA and Dominic Reed of St. Paul, MN; brother, Jimmy D. Rushing (Shirley) of Fernandina Beach, FL; sister-in-law, Faith Rushing of Tacoma, WA and many nieces and nephews.
Flowers will be accepted but those who wish may make memorial contributions to Columbus Hospice, 7020 Moon Road, Columbus, GA 31909.
