Marion Carla Howard, 49, of Fortson, GA, beloved mother, wife, daughter, and respected educator, died peacefully on Sunday, December 13, 2015 at her home among family.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, December 18, 2015 at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel with Pastor Judy Hay officiating. A private interment will be held at Ft. Benning Main Post Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Howard was born in the town of Bamberg, Germany on December 22, 1965, daughter of Inge Seelmann of Germany and the late Carlos Chilcott of Panama. She retired from teaching from the Muscogee County School District.
Other than her father, she was preceded in death by a son, Steven T. Torres.
Survivors other than her mother, include her loving husband Dean Howard of Fortson, GA, proud children, Andre R. Torres (Spouse: Brittany) of Oklahoma, Tommy D. Howard Jr. of Washington D.C., Vanessa K. Howard of Fortson, GA, and Abigail E. Howard of Fortson, GA, and two brothers, Sven Seelmann (Spouse: Tatjanna) and Werner Chilcott, both of Germany.
