Marilyn Patricia Cox, 77, of Columbus, died Tuesday March 10, 2015 at Gentiva Hospice.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday March 14, 2015 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel, 3874 Gentian Bvld. Columbus, GA, with Reverend Shawn Altman officiating. A private interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 AM Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Cox was born November 21, 1937 in Columbus, GA to the late Rutherford Gibson and Marlyn Watson Gibson. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Cox was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Wallace Cox, brother, Donnie Gibson, and a granddaughter, Kelley Underwood.
Survivors include her daughters, Lisa Elliott of Smiths Station, AL and Stacey Cox (Todd Moore) of Columbus, GA, sister, Judy Tucker (William) of Columbus, GA, grandchildren,Ashley Underwood Payne, Trevor Elliott, and Tristan Cox, great grandchildren, Lex Payne and Jagger Payne, and niece and nephews, Jennifer Oliver, Brad Tucker, and Jon Tucker.
