Marie McPeters Watson, 83, of Columbus, GA died Monday, December 12, 2014 at her residence.
Funeral services will be Thursday, 2:00 PM at McMullen Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA 31907. Interment will follow in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Watson was born June 25, 1931 in Muscogee County, GA daughter of the late Samuel Clark McPeters and Bessie Elizabeth Sheets McPeters. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Darlyne Williams Frost, four brothers and one sister. She retired from Swift Textiles and was a member of Trinity Temple Assembly of God.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years , Jack Watson of Columbus, GA, two sons, Jessie Williams (Grace) of Columbus, GA and Donnie Watson (Penny Faye) of Columbus, GA; daughter, Penny Frost (Eddie) of Smiths, AL; sister, Kathryne Thornton (Melvin) of Phenix City, AL; brother, Larry McPeters of Tuskegee, AL; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Flowers will be accepted, but those so desiring may make contributions to Trinity Temple Assembly of God Church.
