Marie Huff Highnote, 73, of Columbus, GA died Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at The Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, February 18, 2012 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Charles Mitchell officiating. A private interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Highnote was born April 13, 1938 in Webb, AL daughter of the late Clyde B. and Lessie Wells Huff. She worked as a paralegal for Hatcher Stubbs Land Hollis and Rothschild Attorneys at Law and was a member of Morningside Baptist Church and the Windsor Park Garden Club.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Gerry Huff.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Mack Highnote, two daughters, Carol Highnote Muncy and Janice Highnote, son, Ronald Highnote (Wendy) all of Columbus, GA, two sisters, Sandra Huff Boyle (Tom) of Dothan, AL and Dr. Helen Huff-Acevedo (Luis) of New York City, NY, three grandchildren, Kelly Sinquefield Marth (Will) of Nashville, TN, T. Blake Muncy and Sam Highnote both of Columbus, GA, and nephew, Brian Boyle of Mobile, AL.
Flowers will be accepted but those so desiring may make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society 233 12th St. #710 Columbus, GA 31901.
