Marie Barnes Edgerton, 80, of Columbus, GA died Thursday, August 30, 2012 at Magnolia Manor Nursing Home.
Graveside services were held 3:00 PM Friday, August 31, 2012 at Parkhill Cemetery with Pastor Judy Hay officiating according to McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Edgerton was born February 27, 1932 in San Antonio, TX. She was the Deputy Editor of the Infantry Magazine for over 25 years in Ft. Benning, GA. She was a member of Alders Gate United Methodist Church.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Mark Allen Edgerton.
Survivors include her sons, Richard Edgerton of Alpharetta, GA and Chuck Edgerton of St. Petersburg, FL, sisters, Lena Mueller of Fredricksburg, TX and Joy Tittle of McAllen, TX, grandchild, Jacob Charles Edgerton of Dallas, TX.
