Marie Tyler Barron, 96, of Columbus, GA died Thursday, March 7, 2019 at Columbus Hospice House.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at Parkhill Cemetery 4161 Macon Rd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Pastor Judy Hay officiating. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Barron was born November 1, 1922 in Box Springs, GA daughter of the late Thomas H. Tyler and Annie Carden Tyler Smith. She was a homemaker and a member of Sherwood Presbyterian Church and the Charter Bible Sunday School class.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Grady W. Barron, Sr.
Survivors include her sons, Grady W. Barron, Jr. (Peggy) of Knoxville, TN, Thomas E. Barron (Debra) of Phenix City, AL and William E. Barron of Columbus, GA, sister, Inez T. Harbuck of Hickory, NC, 7 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Sherwood Presbyterian Church 3100 15th Ave. Columbus, GA 31904 or to your favorite charity.
