Marianne Mulherin Laughlin, 83, of Columbus, GA died Thursday, November 12, 2009 at Columbus Hospice House.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 AM Monday, November 16, 2009 at St. Anne Catholic Church with Father J. Gerard Schreck officiating. The following will serve as pallbearers: Bruce Swisshelm, Gatling Sumner, Steve Davenport, T.J. Smith, David Brown, and Bruce Swisshelm, II. Interment will be held in Parkhill Cemetery. A Rosary will be said 7:00 PM Sunday with the visitation to follow at McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Laughlin was born March 5, 1926 in Augusta, GA daughter of the late William J. and Margaret Hogan Mulherin. She was a homemaker and an active member of St. Anne Catholic Church and St. Anne Outreach. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry James Laughlin and daughter, Betty Camp.
Survivors include her daughters, Margaret Swisshelm (Bruce) of Springfield, MO, Flo Sumner (Gatling) of Columbus, GA, Linda Davenport (Steve) of Columbus, GA, Laura Smith (T.J.) of El Paso, TX and Terri Brown (David) of Jacksonville, FL, son-in-law, Dan Camp of Fresno, CA, fourteen grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.
