Margie S. Stringer, 80, of Columbus, GA, formerly of Talbotton, GA died Saturday, September 8, 2018 at St. Francis Hospital.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 15, 2018, 2:00pm at Geneva Baptist Church in Geneva, GA with Rev. Lynn McManious officiating, according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA.
Mrs. Stringer was born March 24, 1938 in Sanderson, FL to the late Wilfred A. Stone and Lois Davis Stone. She was a retired bank teller from the Peoples Bank of Talbotton and a member of Geneva
Baptist Church.
Margie was preceded in death by her parents, first husband and father to her children, Benjamin E. Edwards, Jr., her second husband, Albert Pete Stringer, Jr., brothers, Fred Stone, Dwight Stone, and her son-‐in-‐law, Steve V. Brooks.
Survivors include her daughters, Lynn Dansby (Stephen) of Headland, AL, Cheryl Parker (Roswell) of Macon, GA, brother, Wayne Stone (Ann) of Marina Del Rey, California, grandchildren, Rachel Murray (Brad), Sterling Brooks, Reece Parker, a great-‐grandson, Cameron Murray and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Geneva Baptist Church, 25 Magnolia St, Box Springs, GA 31801.
