Margie Ruth Ferguson, 82, of Columbus, GA died Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at Columbus Hospice House.
Graveside Services will be held 10:00 AM, Friday January 10, 2014 at Ft. Benning Main Post Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service according to McMullen Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Rev. Joe Strickland officiating.
Mrs. Ferguson was born March 1, 1931 in Lee County, AL daughter of the late Thomas Morgan Strickland and Nara Carroll Strickland. She was a member of Bethel Assembly of God, and attended Covenant Woods Chapel. She was a homemaker.
Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her son; Boyd Franklin Ferguson, Jr. and sister; Magdelene Strickland Berry.
Survivors include her daughter; Gloria J. Russell (Chris) of Columbus, GA, brother; Thomas Joseph Strickland (Ruby) of Phenix City, AL, sister; Shirley Strickland Smith (Lonnie) of Wichita Falls, TX, grandchildren; Jesse C. Russell, Joshua C. Russell, Franklin Ferguson, several nieces and nephews and her friends at Covenant Woods.
