Margie Kathryn Benson 83 of Columbus, Ga. died Friday November 16, 2012 at St. Francis Hospital.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 19, 2012 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Mike Stephens officiating. Interment will be held in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Monday at McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus.
Mrs. Benson was born August 23, 1929 in Glennwood, Alabama, daughter of the late Ariosta Wyley Gibson and Grace Edna Cardin Miller. She was a homemaker and member of Cascade Hills Church.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years Bernard C. Benson of Columbus, Ga., one daughter; Rhonda Benson VanDeMark of Roswell, Ga., one son; Michael Charles Benson of Cataula, Ga., three grandchildren; Tiffany Paige VanDeMark, Brittany Ann VanDeMark and Peyton Shay Benson.
