Margaret T. Stanley, 87 of Fortson, GA died Friday, September 20, 2013 at Columbus Hospice House.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at Wynnbrook Baptist Church, 500 River Knoll Way, Columbus, GA with Dr. Geoff Hammond, Dr. Kevin Calhoun and Rev. Chris Hess officiating. Interment will follow in Ft. Benning Main Post Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at McMullen Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA.
Mrs. Stanley was born February 24, 1926 in Griffin, Georgia daughter of the late Raymond David Tindall and Marguerite Ball Tindall. She was a member of Wynnton Baptist Church and was a Charter member of Wynnbrook Baptist Church and the Maranatha Sunday School Class. She was also a member of NCO Wives club and Sgt Major Wives Club.
Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Harvey Stanley.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter and son-in-law Teresa and Richard Peirce of Fortson, GA; step-sons, George Stanley of Atlanta, GA and William Stanley of Augusta, GA; loving grandsons, Stephen and William Peirce of Fortson, GA; granddaughters, Betty Andrews, Sherrie Stanton, Stacie Woodruff, Stephanie Fulton and Sarah Stanley and special friends, Cynthia and Bruce Meadows and Gerry Pittman.
The family would like to express their great appreciation to Columbus Hospice for the loving care showed to their mother during her stay.
