Margaret M. Mize, 85 of Columbus died Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at Heritage Hills.
Graveside services will be held 11 AM, Thursday, September 23, 2010 at Ft. Benning Main Post Cemetery with Rev. David Helms officiating, according to McMullen Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA.
Mrs. Mize was born January 10, 1925 in Mocksville, NC daughter of the late Ola Foster Poole and Clifton C. Poole. She was a seamstress for Schwobilt Clothing and had worked with civil service at Ft. Benning. She was a former member of Asbury United Methodist Church and Waverly Hall United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas E. Mize.
Survivors include her daughter Kay Whaley (Michael) of Midland, GA; grandsons, Michael Scott Whaley of Columbus, GA and Tom Whaley (Jenny) of Ellerslie, GA; great granddaughter, Anna Grace Whaley of Ellerslie, GA; sister, Katherine Haines of Lexington, NC; brother, Albert Poole of Advance, NC and several nieces and nephews.
