Margaret E. Komendantov, 77, of Fortson, GA died Monday, September 18, 2017 at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, GA.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, September 23, 2017 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Father Dan O'Connell officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Komendantov was born September 23, 1939 in Brooklyn, NY daughter of the late Frank and Leni Santmeyer Eigner. She worked as a Loan Officer for SunTrust and was a member of Holy Family Church. She was an avid Falcons, Georgia Bulldogs, and Braves fan. She also enjoyed participating in fantasy football. Mrs. Komendantov loved Tai Chi, reading, walking, gardening, baking and cooking. She also loved her family and friends.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Ayla.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Alex Komendantov, sons, Paul Komendantov (Teresa) and Mark Komendantov, daughter, Katherine "Kathy" Komendantov all of Fortson, GA, grandchildren, Aidan, Alex, Sean and Ethan.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Children's Miracle Network www.childrensmiraclenetworkhospitals.org.
