Marcie "Wynnell" Boren, 83, of Columbus died Friday, February 12, 2016 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 16, 2016 in the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory with Reverend Aaron Baldridge and Reverend Vernon Prather officiating. Interment will be held in Pine Mountain Valley Cemetery, Pine Mountain, GA. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Boren was born January 18, 1933 in Cragford, Alabama daughter of the late Ezra Daniel and Lula Rice Walker. She retired from ARCO Enterprises as a seamstress and was a member of Pine Mountain Valley Baptist Church and was currently attending Calvary Freewill Baptist Church.
Other than her parents, Mrs. Boren was preceded in death by her huband, Homer Thomas Boren; brother, Eugene Walker; grandson, Richard Thomas Kannady; great grandchildren, Avalee Grace Newman and David Irions and son-in-laws, Wayne G. Irions and Gary Jones.
Survivors include five daughters, Mildred Irions, JoAnn Jones, Betty Kannady (Kenneth), Juanita Kennedy all of Columbus, GA and Marilyn Brown (Billy) of Seale, AL; son, Ricky Boren (Nancy) of Upatoi, GA; 14 Grandchildren; 14 Great Grandchildren and special nephew, Kenneth Walker.
