Major (Ret.) Kenneth J. Ohr, 74, of Columbus, Georgia, died Friday, July 3, 2015 at Columbus Hospice House.
Memorial Service will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel, 3974 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA 31907 with Reverend Jeff Struecker officiating
Mr. Ohr was born September 22, 1940 in St. Paul, Minnesota, son of the late Robert Frank Ohr and Florence Goldsmith Ohr. He retired as Major serving in the United States Air Force. He taught high school in Duncanville,TX and at Jordan High School. He also taught math at the University of Texas. He was a 33 degree Mason at Mt. Herman Lodge and was a chaplain for Chattahoochee Valley for 10 years.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Iva Lou Ohr of Columbus, GA; daughter, Margorie Jane' Consorte' of Ennis, TX; sons Franklin Paul Ohr and Robert Allen Ohr both of Irving, TX; grandchildren, Brandy Dang, Derek Mainor, Dominic Consorte', Brianna Payne, great grandchild, Leela Dang, and brothers, Robert Ohr of Glenrose, TX, and Michael (Carolyn) Ohr of Arkansas.
