Madappa Vrishabhendra

Mr. M. Vrishabhendra (also known as Vishu to his close friends), 89, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2023 in Columbus, GA surrounded by his loving family.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Sunday, May 14, 2023 in the chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.

Born in 1934 in Mysore, India he was the eldest of 6 children. He completed his studies and moved to the United States in 1971 along with his wife Kumuda and son Madhu. He completed his Masters Degree in Civil Engineering at The University of Mississippi and worked and lived in Eufaula, AL, Nashville, TN and Columbus, GA.  An avid sportsman he enjoyed playing tennis and golf throughout his life. His other passion was traveling all over the world in the company of his beloved wife to whom he was married for 63 years.

He is preceded in death by his wife Kumuda (deceased January 24, 2023), brother, Prasad, and sister Shanta.

As he embarks on his final journey, he leaves behind his loving son Madhu (Leela), daughter Bindu (Jason), his 3 grandchildren Benak, Barath, Kiran, sister, Pankaja, brothers, Nagaraj and Prakash. He will be missed by all his family and wide circle of friends.
