M. Louise Tindell Peckham

Louise T. Peckham of 287 Shenandoah Dr., Cataula, Georgia, died Wednesday February 15th, 2017 at Rivertowne Center Nursing Home in Columbus, Ga.
A memorial service will be held Sunday February 26th at 2:00PM at the Columbus First Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Louise was born in Phenix City, AL on October 13th, 1922 the daughter of Emery Cleo Tindell and Annie Lawhorne Tindell. Raised in Chattanooga, TN she attended Carson Newman College as a Music/Choral major. She married Henry A. Peckham, Jr. in 1950 and they moved to Atlanta, GA then later to Columbus (1960). Both had roots in the airline & travel business. In Columbus they started Peckham Travel Service in 1962. She remained in the travel business until retirement. She was active in the St. Thomas Church choir, sang and played organ for St. Mary's Church upon occasion. Travel & Music were her passions.
Survivors include her son Philip Peckham and wife Betsy of Cataula, Ga., granddaughter Sallie Peckham Vanhoose and husband Zach & two great grandaughters Wendy & Morgan of Mt Juliet TN; niece Janice Cate & nephew Howard (Butch) Tindell, both of Ooltewah, (Chattanooga) TN.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be given to St Jude Children's Hospital in her memory.
