Lynda E. Sturdivant, 69, formerly of Phenix City, AL passed away April 10, 2014.
A memorial service will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus,GA 31907, with Pastor Judy Hay officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home. A private family interment will be held at Lakeview Memory Gardens, Phenix City, AL.
Mrs. Sturdivant was born December 5, 1944 in Columbus, GA. the daughter of Norton L. and Edna B.(Byrd) Edge.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Wendy and mother Edna B. Edge.
Survivors include her father Norton Edge; husband of 44 years, Rick Sturdivant; son and daughter in law, Wesley and Michelle Sturdivant; son, Tyler VanLoo; daughter, Misty Sturdivant; and grandchildren, Payge Elizabeth, Paige Nicole and Joshua; Aunt and Uncle, Sara and William Corbett; and sister of the heart, Bettie Jeansonme.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorial contributions in her name be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Wounded Warrior Project, www.woundedwarriorproject.org.
