Lydia I. Rozzelle, 70, of Columbus, GA, passed away Monday, January 27, 2014 at her residence.
The family will receive friends Saturday, February 1, 2014 from 4:00-6:00 PM at McMullen Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. In honor of Lydia's wishes, the family will hold a private burial at a later date in Fort Benning, GA.
Mrs. Rozzelle was born May 20, 1943 in Mainz, Germany, daughter of the late Pelagia Eigelsbach. She was a retired Pawn Broker.
Mrs. Rozzelle was preceded in death by the love of her life and devoted husband, Daniel E. Rozzelle.
Lydia is survived by her daughter, Daniela Rozzelle-Lee (Jerrette) of Columbus, GA; grandsons, Daniel Rozzelle Lee and Jerrette Lee II, both of Columbus, GA; sister, Roswitha Jarmuzek (George) of Silver Springs, NV; brother, Willie Lecierski of Mainz, Germany; sister-in-law, Margaret Rozzelle of Washington D.C.; brother-in-law, George A. Williams of Stanley, N.C.; devoted and loving friend, Orbie A. Faircloth (Betty) of Americus, GA; and many other family members, friends and neighbors.
Lydia was a very loving, caring, and devoted mother, grandmother, and friend that was loved by all who knew her. She was known and will be remembered for her big heart and matter of fact honesty. She lived for her grandchildren and she will truly be missed.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to a charity of your choice.
