Luther Odell Miller, 97, Columbus, GA died Sunday, October 20, 2013 at his residence.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Rev. Brad Carpenter and Rev. Mark Tipton officiating. A private interment will follow in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5:00-7:00 PM at McMullen Funeral Home.
Mr. Miller was born October 29, 1915, son of the late May Bell Miller. He was a member of HarvestPoint Church of The Nazarene, 7777 Whitesville Rd. Columbus, GA 31904 and a member of Rose Hill Masonic Lodge 484. He retired after 37 years of service with the Columbus Consolidated Government as a Supervisor of the Street Department.
Other than his parents he was preceded in death by his wife; Leila Culpepper Miller and a granddaughter; Susan Butler.
Survivors include son; Luther C. Miller, Sr. (Anne) of Phenix City, AL, daughters; Shirley Coppedge (Stan) of Columbus, GA, Becky Willetts (Rudy) of Columbus, GA, grandchildren; Luther C. Miller, Jr., Rodney Miller (Jill), Brent Miller, Lynn Gordy (Bubba), Leigh Coppedge Albanese (Stephen), Leslie Coppedge Collins (Brandon), Michael Willetts (Kristin), Shelley Willetts Reed (Chase), Liz Lloyd (Mike), Kevin Kirkland (Brandi), 21 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, special caregivers; Brock Miller, Nikita Perkins, Martha Miller, Audrey Keener, and pet companion; Pepper.
Flowers will be accepted; but those who wish may make memorial contributions to HarvestPoint Church of The Nazarene, 7777 Whitesville Rd. Columbus, GA 31904.
