Lucia Scarpelli Moore

Lucia Scarpelli Moore 96, of Columbus, Georgia died Sunday, December 6, 2020 at the Columbus Hospice House.
Mrs. Moore was born September 01, 1924 in Paterson, New Jersey daughter of the late Anthony and Matilda D’Amato Scarpelli. She was a longtime resident of San Clemente, California before moving to Columbus 7 years ago. Mrs. Moore served as a U.S. Army Nurse during World War II and later worked as a Registered Nurse with Mountain Side Hospital in Glenn Ridge New Jersey. She was a member of The Church of Holy Family in Columbus, Ga. and enjoyed crafts and boat racing in the Pacific Ocean with her husband.
Other than her parents, Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her husband Thomas D. Moore.
Survivors include her step daughters, Helen Ann Moore and Marie Hayes, brothers, Anthony Scarpelli and Don Scarpelli and her sister, Theodora Pollara. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, Marie Levesque, Thomas Pollara, James Pollara, Peter Scarpelli, Donna Patterson, Don Scarpelli and Debra Whitney.
