Loye was born on June 22, 1962 to Gene Cole and Doris Craig in Freona, TX. He attended Maud High School in Oklahoma, graduating class of 1980, where he was part of the marching band and elevated to drum major. From these formative years, music impacted his life in such a way that he would go on to dedicate his musical talent to music ministry for 20 years, serving various churches. Loye went on to attend Seminole State College in Oklahoma, graduating in 1983 with an Associate of Applied Science, majoring in Computer Science Technology. He was a faithful employee of several nonprofit institutions for over 40 years, working as an accountant in organizations such as the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta, Atlanta History Center, Beacon University and his current employer, Atlanta Community Food Bank. Loye was a believer in Jesus Christ and committed the past 14 years of his life to the ministry of teaching others Biblical truths. In 2011, Loye led a group of local Christian believers to start what became Hebrew Roots of Faith, a faith-based study outreach that focused on gaining a deeper understanding of Yeshua and His teachings. The highlight of his week was teaching class in Columbus every Friday night.
