Louise B. Eysel

Louise B. Eysel, 95, of Columbus died Monday, August 18, 2014 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M. Friday, August 22, 2014 at St. Matthews Lutheran Church with Rev. Dr. Shirley M. Redmond officiating. Interment will be held in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus.
Mrs. Eysel was born March 28, 1919 in Holloway, MN daughter of the late Carl and Ella Quandt Beyer. She was a Graduate of St. Luke's School of Nursing and was a Veteran of the U.S. Army Nurse Corps and worked in the England Hospital that received the wounded during the D-Day invasion.
Mrs. Eysel retired in 1985 as Director of In-Service Education with St. Francis Hospital, Past President of the GSNA and former member of the HSA Board of Governors. She was a member of the 1st group to introduce CPR to the Columbus Hospitals and was a member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church, a Sunday School Teacher, Youth Leader, member of the Altar Guild and the Tuesday Bible Class.
Other than her parents, Mrs. Eysel is preceded in death by her husband Ferdinand Louis Eysel.
Survivors include two daughters; Barbara Eysel of Columbus, Ga., Audrey Austin (Michael) of Memphis TN., one son, Bruce Eysel of Manchester, Ga., one brother, David Beyer of Hollaway MN, Six Grandchildren, Bart Eysel (Kimetha), Chris Eysel (Rhonda), Jennifer Mahaffey (Jason), Johnathan Austin (Melissa), McKenzie Killebrew (Bucky), and Calen Austin (Chelsea) 13 Great Grandchildren.
