Lorie Lynn Martin Clayton, 46, of Salem, AL died Friday, July 20, 2018 at St. Francis Hospital.
A memorial visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 PM on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA 31907.
Ms. Clayton was born April 26, 1972 in Lynchburg, VA. She was a Registered Nurse with Vista Care Hospice for many years, where she used her skills and abilities to comfort and care for the families she served.
Ms. Clayton will be remembered by her family and friends for her fun loving attitude and gift of hospitality. She never met a stranger and made those around her at ease. Ms. Clayton was an excellent Gi Gi to her granddaughter, Nova Anne Wafler, who was a bright star in her life.
Ms. Clayton was preceded in death by her son, Tanner Wafler and her husband, Michael Clayton.
Survivors include her parents, Bob C. and Brinda Davis Stadler, Salem, AL her two children, Maggie-Beth Cope (Jacob) Salem, AL and Trevor Wafler (Sandra), LaGrange; brother, John Martin, Jr., OH; granddaughter, Nova Anne Wafler; three step-brothers, Daniel Stadler, Wellsboro, PA, Tim Stadler, San Antonio, TX and James Stadler, Las Vegas, NV; uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews, also survive.
