Loretta Davenport Holt, 72, of Cataula, GA died Saturday, October 29, 2011 at Vista Care Hospice at Franciscan Woods.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at Cornerstone Baptist Church, Ellerslie, GA with Dr. Tommy Henschel and Reverend Ray Sutton officiating. Interment will follow in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA.
Mrs. Holt was born November 5, 1938 in Columbus, GA daughter of the late William Allen Davenport and Louise Hart Davenport. She was the retired office manager for SSC Services. She was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church and the Adult 5 Sunday School Class.
Other than her parents, Mrs. Holt was preceded in death by her grandson, William Comer Holt, IV; and her brothers, Blanford Davenport and Joe Davenport.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years, William C. Holt, II of Cataula, GA; sons, William Comer (Beaver) Holt, III (Renee) of Hamilton, GA, Jay Andrew Holt (Susan) of Ellaville, GA and Greg Allen Holt (Rebecca) of Cataula, GA; brothers, William Allen Davenport, III (Berma Jean) of Hampton, GA, Julian Davenport (Dorothy) of Columbus, GA, eleven grandchildren, five great grandchildren and several nieces of nephews.
Flowers will be accepted but those who wish may make memorial contributions to Cornerstone Baptist Church Building Fund, 16117 Highway 315, Ellerslie, GA 31807.
