Lorene Mildred Hamby, 79, of Columbus, GA died Thursday, February 21, 2013 at Columbus Hospice House.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Parkhill Cemetery with Reverend Thomas Pope and Reverend Udell Addison officiating. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Hamby was born October 1, 1933 daughter of the late Oscar O. and Trudy P. Weaver Bowman. She was a homemaker and a member of Central Baptist Church.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herman L. Hamby and son, Ashley Todd Hamby.
Survivors include her four daughters, Carmen Debrabant (Buddy) of Columbus, GA, Selina Hamby Woodall of Columbus, GA, Lana Blackmon of Mauldin, SC and Alisa Jones of LaGrange, GA, six grandchildren, Brooke Herring, Ryan Watson, Cliff Jones, Kyle Debrabant, Benjamin Blackmon and Jacob Blackmon, and three great grandchildren, Loralai Herring, Pippa Herring and Rilynn Watson.
