Lloyd Thomas Cantrell, 86, of Columbus died Monday, April 16, 2012 at Vista Care of Franciscan Woods.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, April 19, 2012 at Pierce Chapel United Methodist Church, 5122 Pierce Chapel Road, Midland, GA with Rev. Howard White and Rev. Lynn Meadows White officiating. Interment will be held in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at McMullen Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus.
Mr. Cantrell was born March 5, 1926 in Columbus, GA son of the late John Thomas Cantrell and Bessie Kerr Cantrell. He was a U. S. Navy veteran of World War II having served in the Pacific Campaign. He retired after 28 years as a Captain for the Muscogee County Sheriffâ
