Liselotte A. McBurney, 82, of Columbus, GA died Thursday, March 25, 2010 at VistaCare at Franciscan Woods.
Memorial services will be held 10AM Monday, April 5, 2010 at Holy Family Church 320 12th St. Columbus, GA 31901 with Reverend Father Frank Patterson officiating. A private interment will be held in Ft. Benning Main Post Cemetery. A Rosary will be said 6PM Sunday, April 4, 2010 with visitation to follow at McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. McBurney was born October 3, 1927 in Wurzburg, Germany daughter of the late Klemenz Heppner and Kreszenz Lausser. She formerly worked for LaQuinta Inn and later was a homemaker. She was also a member of Holy Family Church. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George McBurney.
Survivors include her nephew, Haus-Juergen Vogtentauz and niece, Ute Berschik, nieces and nephews in Germany, and special friends, Larry and Ruth Anna Love of Fortson, GA.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Soup Kitchen at Holy Family Church 320 12th St. Columbus, GA 31901.
