Linwood Earl Riddick 92, of Columbus, Ga. died Sunday, December 18, 2022 at his residence.
Cryptside services with full Military Honors will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 21, 2022 in the Chapel of Pines Mausoleum Parkhill Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Spear officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the Chapel of Pines Mausoleum according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, Ga. 31907
Mr. Riddick was born in Plymouth, North Carolina to Ellis L. Riddick and Neva Davenport Riddick. After retiring from the U.S. Army as a Staff Sergeant in 1969, he owned and operator Riddick’s Service Station for many years. He was a dedicated husband and father and in his spare time enjoyed working in his yard. He was a member of Northside Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Lloyd and Thurman, sisters, Rachel, Martha, Kathleen and Mary.
Linwood is survived by his wife of 66 years, Belvery Riddick of Columbus, a son, Russell Riddick (Laura) of Harris County, two daughters, Cindy Steed (Bart) of Columbus, and Terri Morris of Columbus, GA, six grandchildren, Christopher Riddick (Paige), Bradley Riddick, Stephanie Steed, Patrick Steed (Sarah), Clay Morris and Joshua Morris (Courtney), nine great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the Staff at Columbus Hospice and special thanks to Denise and Lynn.
