Linda Gail E. Dean, 67, Columbus, GA, died Tuesday, May 13, 2014.
Memorial Services will be held 11:00 AM, Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at East Highland United Methodist Church, 1301 17th St. Columbus, GA with Rev. Mark Sasser, Rev. Paul Buckhiester, and Rev. Norman Dunlap officiating. A private interment will be held in Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, May 19, 2014 from 5:00-7:00 PM at McMullen Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Dean was born October 18, 1946 in Birmingham, AL, daughter of Elizabeth R. Burge Brickell and the late Roy Reed Edwards. She graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. She worked for Aflac for 34 years. She faithfully attended Wesley Heights United Methodist Church for 36 years and then joined and faithfully attended East Highland United Methodist Church for almost 2 years now.
Other than her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Chester M. Dean.
Survivors other than her mother include her daughters, Linda Gail B. Land (Frank) of San Diego, CA and Beth Marie Bloodworth of Columbus, GA; brothers, Reed Edwards (Karen) of Birmingham, AL and Ken Edwards (Gayle) of Monroe, GA; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
