Lillie C. Register, 93, of Columbus, Ga., died December 12, 2014 at Columbus Hospice House.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, December 15, 2014 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA. 31907 with Pastor George Haugen officiating. A private interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, December 14, 2014 from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Register was born April 26, 1921 in Clinton, GA., daughter of the late John Arthur Caswell and Nettie Clide Slaughter. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Radford Register, daughter, Patricia Bannon and sister, Mary Frances Hamby.
Mrs. Register was a teacher at St. Mark Methodist Daycare and loved caring for and teaching children. She was a loving mother, grandmother and was a long time member of Edgewood Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her sister, Kathryn Driggers; two granddaughters, Denise Pastelaniec and Michelle Hall; one grandson, Michael Weaver; three great grandchildren and three nephews.
