Lillian M. Sheppard, 92, of Fortson, GA died Thursday, January 21, 2021 at her residence.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, January 25, 2021 at Parkhill Cemetery with Jimmy Blanton officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00-5:00 PM Sunday, January 24, 2021 at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. To stop the spread of COVID-19 facemasks and social distancing will be required during the services and visitation.
Lillian was born August 28, 1928 in Pike, AL to the late Jimmy D. Meadows and Beuna Godwin Meadows. She taught school for 36 years and taught Sunday School at Gentian Baptist Church where she was member for over 60 years.
She is survived by her daughter, Suzanne Sheppard of Fortson, GA, sister, Jimmie Meadows Dean (Bill) of Louisville, AL, grandchildren, Allison S. Scarborough (Gordy), Alexandra Sheppard, Lillian Grace Sheppard, great-grandchildren, Ella-Kate Scarborough, Gordy Scarborough, numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
