Mrs. Rossi was born September 20, 1939 in Gainesville, FL daughter of the late Cecil Ralph Smith, Sr. and the late Dorothy Sherrod Smith. She is now in the presence of Jesus, her savior, and enjoying a reunion with Charles A. Rossi, Jr., her partner in marriage for 57 years, who passed away in 2016.

A lifelong homemaker, Mrs. Rossi was a prayer warrior who found great joy in helping others and took every opportunity to point people to Jesus. She enjoyed sitting in her sunroom and looking out the window, enjoying the natural beauty of God’s creation, including the geese who would come up to her window.

Survivors include her brother John Henry Smith (Connie) of Gainesville, FL; son Charles A. Rossi, III (Dana) of Columbus, GA; daughter Sandi Dunaway (Brian) of Phenix City, AL; daughter Lisa Rossi of Cataula, GA; grandchildren Catherine Reynolds (Justin), Charles Rossi, IV (Steffanie), Matthew Rossi, Michael Rossi, Heather Rossi, Brooke Dunaway (Joey); great grandchildren Hallie Reynolds and Harper Reynolds. She was also preceded in death by her brothers Cecil R. Smith, Jr., Howard A. Smith, and Foster P. Smith and great-grandchild Wyatt Reynolds.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Sandy Jester, Heather Peters, Pretoria Threats and the team from Preferred Care Hospice who provided such compassionate care to “Grandmommy” in her final days with us.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Valley Rescue Mission, 2903 2nd Avenue, Columbus, GA 31904, or Sound Choices Pregnancy Clinic, 1316-B Wynnton Court Columbus, GA 31906
