Lillian Carol Edwards

Lillian Carol Edwards, 71 of Columbus, Georgia passed away Thursday, November 11, 2021 at Saint Francis Hospital.

Services for Mrs. Edwards will be held on Monday, November 15, 2021 at McMullen Funeral home at 10:00am and Funeral service to follow at 11:00am with Buddy Lamb officiating.

Carol was born October 11, 1950 in Columbus, Georgia. She was a graduate of Jordan High School in  1969 and a Paraprofessional for the Muscogee County School district at Mathews Elementary School until her retirement. Carol married the love of her life David T. Edwards III on November 30th, 1974. Her family was very special to her. She enjoyed cooking, gathering with her family, and baseball, but mostly going to Golden Park for the Redstixx baseball games. She loved the lord, studying her bible, and humming hymnals.

Carol is preceded in death by her parents John T. Hindsman and Mavis Hindsman, her brother John T. "Buddy" Hindsman. She is survived by her loving husband David T. Edwards III of  47 years. Her two daughters Allison Gaither (Jamie), Ashley Back (Darren) and two grandsons Tyler and Hagen Back, sister Peggy L. Hindsman, and brother-n-laws George, Jim "Jimbo", and Charles "Charlie" Edwards, nieces Janet "Jan" Moudy and Terri (Rick) Western and several great nieces and nephews and life time friend more a like sister Patsy Arwood and her two daughters Paula Adame and Pamela Forrester, whom are more like daughters to her as well.
