Lillian Diane Davis, 75, of Cataula, GA died May 11, 2024 at Piedmont Columbus Regional Northside. A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, May 16, 2024 in the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at the funeral home with Rev. Todd Quintard officiating. A private interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery.

Diane was born February 12, 1949 in West Point, GA daughter of the late James Aaron Nixon and Lillian Rodgers Nixon. She is preceded in death by her husband of 30 years Huey Davis, brothers Dennis Nixon and Fred Nixon and numerous other beloved family members. Diane’s sweet soul will be sorely missed, her loving and caring nature was on full display to any who knew her. Diane was always the caretaker of her family from an early age taking care of her beloved mother “Bessie” to every other member of her immediate family. Her faith was at the forefront of her life, leaning on it at every twist and turn life threw at her. Diane was a faithful member of Central Baptist Church of Columbus Ga since its inception in 1967. She spent many years as a Sunday School teacher and Church Secretary as well as an active member in the WMU. Her family finds peace in knowing that she is walking the streets of gold being greeted by many who she helped lead there, alongside her family that has gone before her and her Heavenly Father who undoubtedly told her “Well done my good and faithful servant” (Matt 25:21).

Survivors include her son, Graham Davis (Robin) of Cataula, GA; her bonus children, Gina Davis of Birmingham, AL, Chris Davis of Columbus, GA, Frank Davis of Chattanooga, TN; grandchildren, Christina Caldwell (Jacob) of Cusseta, GA, Amanda Davis of Chattanooga, TN, Scott Davis of Columbus, GA, and Jayden Grissett of Milford Tx; nephews, Sean Nixon of West Point, GA, Jeremiah Nixon of Lagrange, GA; numerous great grandchildren and other family.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Central Baptist Church of Columbus at 8303 Whitesville Rd, Columbus, GA 31904.
